Arkhangelsk plywood will travel to Asia, Africa and Latin America
Three quarters of the output of the Arkhangelsk plywood plant in the city of Novodvinsk will be exported to former-Soviet and other foreign countries. This was reported on the Industrial Development Fund website based on the results from launching new production of large-format plywood in the Arkhangelsk region (the local company is a borrower from the IDF).
As noted, leveraging the raised funds, the plant acquired new modern state-of-the-art equipment that is comparable to the best available veneer and plywood production technologies. As a result of the retrofitting, labor productivity increased and the cost of producing plywood decreased. Product quality also significantly improved.
The Company’s finished products are used in construction, interior and exterior design, furniture manufacturing, playground equipment, truck production, packaging and other areas. The company plans to export about 75 percent of its new products to Azerbaijan, the UK, Germany, Egypt, India, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Turkey, Sweden and Estonia.
