The Center for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences will assess the quality of exported products
The Federal Research Center for Food Systems named after V.M. Gorbatova of the Russian Academy of Sciences has become the reference laboratory for the assessment of conformity of food products and fodder exported to the EU, China, UAE and Egypt, as stated by the press center of the Federal Research Center . The Center has the right to issue certificates confirming test results using the ILAC mark.
The ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) member status opens new opportunities for domestic exporters for selling their prooducts not only in the Asia Pacific region, but in dozens other countries as well. In many foreign markets, the ILAC mark on the product test certificates is a mandatory condition for the recognition of the results of tests carried out in our country.
The Federal Research Center for Food Systems named after V.M. Gorbatova of the Russian Academy of Sciences has the necessary laboratories and qualified specialists, participates in international validation rounds upon development of standards by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), etc. The reference laboratory at the Federal Research Center will start operating at full capacity by the end of the year and will implement a single-window system to support exporters.
The reference laboratories are created to achieve the goals set by the International Cooperation and Export national project in the area of reducing financial and time costs incurred by exporters in the assessment of conformity of exported products by developing and modernising Russsian laboratories. It is planned to open 36 reference laboratories in Russia.
