Exports of Deep-Processed Lumber Products to the Asia-Pacific Region Are to Increase
A new export-oriented deep-processed lumber production has been launched in the Khabarovsk Krai, the Industry Development Foundation reports on its website (VTK is a lendee to the Foundation).
Over 60% of plywood produced at the plant (a total capacity of 15,000 m3) will be exported to Japan, South Korea and other countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. In addition to that, the plant will be producing up to 15,000 tonnes of fuel pellets. They will be also exported to the nearby Asia-Pacific countries. The favourable location of the industrial site close to port infrastructure is expected to contribute to the large share of export.
The total budget of the project has exceeded RUB 227 million. VTK is the first Russian export company to receive a 1% annual interest loan and to use a federal and regional loan to launch its production in the region. We would also like to remind you that gas and multifuel burners will also be exported to other countries.
