First Deliveries of Birch Plywood to Argentina
Sveza (the city of Vologda) became the first company in Russia to start exporting birch plywood to Argentina, as vologdaregion.ru reported citing the press service of the manufacturer. Large-size laminated plywood, including those with a grid for slab formwork, was supplied from the Veliky Ustyug plant.
According to the Company representative, it took about six months to prepare for the launch of sales in Argentina. Company employees conducted a workshop for their partners from South America and explained the advantages of birch plywood for the construction market. As noted, the start of deliveries was made possible after obtaining a certificate from the Argentine Normalisation and Certification Institute (IRAM).
The Argentinian market is dominated by local softwood plywood (pine and poplar), so the durable, high-quality birch plywood from the Vologda manufacturer is a unique product for local consumers. In general, Argentina is considered a complex market from the point of view of the registration and entry of foreign companies.
The Vologda company has been operating in South America for more than four years; its products are available in Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, and Paraguay. As we have informed earlier, the global furniture market has reached USD 160 billion. Besides, Russian food products may be in demand in Argentina.
