The Moscow Region will be considering to export their dairy products to the countries of Africa and Middle East, according to the website of the Regional Ministry of Investment and Innovations with a reference to the Deputy Board Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, Vadim Khromov. He says that, in particular, the supply can be arranged to Egypt.
Moscow Region is one of the leaders in Central Russia in terms of milk production and is the second by volume of cheese production in the country. In the last five years, 225 projects have been successfully completed, with total investment of almost 185 billion RUB (more than 9,000 new jobs created).
As the Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev mentioned, the Moscow Region is planning to increase export of agricultural products up to $1,7 billion by 2024. First of all, they are talking about meat, dairy and ready-made products. As you may remember from previous reports, joint export will allow Russian producers of sugar optimise the costs of logistics and compete in the global market.
