Volume of Car Exports Increased by Almost a Third
The data published by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation shows that during the first four months of this year, the export of passenger cars from Russia increased by 29.9 percent compared to the same period last year (up to 33.3 thousand). The exports of lorries have also increased by 7.7 percent (to 4.1 thousand).
In value terms, the export of passenger cars in January-April amounted to USD 454.4 million, which is 26.8 percent more than a year earlier. The exports of lorries, in value terms, have increased by 26.5 percent (up to USD 102.8 million).
The exports of passenger cars in April amounted to 10.6 thousand, which is 15.3 percent more compared to March of this year. In value terms, overseas shipments increased by 10.7 percent (to USD 147.1 million). Lorry exports were about 1,500 (plus 32.3 percent); and, in value terms, exports have reached USD 32 million, or nearly one and a half per cent.
